App Design
Teamable is a mobile application platform which has allowed Nike Korea to add a new technical innovation to their fifth annual five-a-side Nike Cup football tournament.

Before the Teamable partnership, the Nike Cup was traditionally a series of single-day tournaments held in a central location, usually a major stadium in a major city like Seoul, Daegu, and Busan. However, these physical and geographical constraints prevented many footballers from participating. Either the stadium was too far away, or they would show up to the crowded stadium only to find that there wasn't enough space and/or time slots to play.

These problems have now been solved thanks to Teamable. Renamed Nike Cup 247 to highlight the opportunity for footballers to play “Anytime, Anywhere,” this year’s event debuts Teamable's mobile application platform that enables players across Korea to register teams, select opponents and arrange match dates with venues in a much more open and decentralized way. The app also features real-time updates, match result reporting and live chats for team updates. Regional preliminaries began May 13 and are being managed using the Nike Cup 247 application, arranging match schedules, and sharing game results and league standings of the first-round matches. The app also serves young footballers by recording points for wins, draws, losses and matches played. Social media engagement will be rewarded with team crest personalization, custom kit printing services and through various football product giveaways. Successful teams will move on to regional finals held in Seoul, Daegu and Busan. Winners of the regionals will be invited to compete for the national championship title in June.
